There's been a lot of talk about other various festivals, but another one that you should know about is the Dakota Rock Fest! It's happening July 24th and 25th in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

FRIDAY
July 24th, 2009

Well rockers, campers and partiers, it’s time to let the rock out of the bag. Dakota
Rock Fest on Friday will once again kick off with local favorite Jukebox Zeros.

Escape will once again join the lineup with all the Journey hits they rocked you
with last summer.

Then we have a surprise band for you that will have you singing along
with every song they sing. It’s because they are an Aerosmith tribute band called
Draw the Line. We think they’ll surprise you just like Smokin’ did last year. This
year’s festival has two dynamite acts to close Friday night.

The first is Head East with their catalog of hits like “Never Been Any Reason”,
“Love Me Tonight” and “Since You’ve Been Gone”. Just to name a few.

The headliner on Friday is the band that makes everyone smile-April Wine. They’re
crossing the Canadian border to play Dakota Rock Fest. One of the most popular
bands ever will be in Sioux Falls to play their many hits. One of those bands that still
rock the airwaves today and we are so lucky to have them. One thing I know is
everyone can’t wait to hear that intro to “Just Between You and Me”.

SATURDAY
JULY 25, 2009

Saturday’s lineup is sure to rock your world from kickoff to lights out. Although this
lineup is not yet in order for the day, it’s a great one.

One thing we do know is Paisty Jenny will jump start Saturday. This is one band that
definitely knows how to play and party.

Saturday also has Appetite for Deception. Last year they were liked so much in Sturgis
they played the whole week!

As promised we will feature bands from today and there’s no better way than to bring in
two bands from Kivel records. Tango Down will be here for the first time and by request
Bombay Black will once again rock the Dakota Rock Fest stage.

Saturdays 80’s hit makers are sure to have you talking until next year. We have Enuff Z
Nuff who are sure to jog your memory.

L.A. Guns return with the fantastic Tracii Guns. If Tracii doesn’t get your attention, new lead singer, Jizzy Pearl will.

Don Dokken leads Dokken onto the Dakota Rock Fest stage with their monster hits.
Dokken- one of the most recognizable names of the hair band era puts on one hell of a live
show that you don’t want to miss. Dokken will definitely kick ass!

Opening for our headliner on Saturday are some of the nicest and most talented guys from
last years festival. They asked to come back and judging from your e-mails you did too.
Skid Row will be back to rock you until our final act takes the stage.

The entire staff of Dakota Rock Fest is proud to announce the star of the VH-1 hit show
“Rock of Love” will take the stage. Yes, Bret Michaels and his band will be here. Bret
will sing all of his hits. We’ve done shows with Bret in the past and he is one hell of an entertainer. Don’t be the one to miss this year’s show and have to hear about it from somebody else.

Make your camping reservations now to reserve a spot. Also VIP tickets are a limited
number. Buy tickets early to be put in a drawing for backstage passes. These passes
will be your only chance at backstage passes. Dakota Rock Fest cannot wait to see all of you at this year’s event. Let’s show ‘em all that Dakota Rock Fest is the biggest festival in Sioux Falls.
