Hair Metal Mansion - Top 20 Albums of 2008

Can you believe it? Another year has come and gone...but what a year it was! I can honestly say that 2008 was arguably the best year for rock and metal in recent memory. So many high profile releases, along with some great new bands as well. There are so many albums that deserve mentioning here, but these were the biggest highlights of 2008 for me;

So, how about a drum roll please! Here are my top albums for 2008;

13. Saints Of The Underground - "Love The Sin, Hate The Sinner"

12. Brother Firetribe - "Heart Full Of Fire"

11. Tesla - "Forever More"

10. AC/DC - "Black Ice"

9. H.E.A.T. - "H.E.A.T."

8. White Lion - "Return Of The Pride"

7. Dokken - "Lightning Strikes Again"

6. Voodoo Circle - "Voodoo Circle"

5. Journey - "Revelation"

4. Motley Crue - "Saints Of Los Angeles"

3. Poley/Rivera - "Only Human"

...and my top album for 2008 is....

1. Marcello/Vestry - "Marcello/Vestry"

Well there you have it! My top albums for 2008...it was extremely hard for me to put them in order and narrow it down. There are a number of other releases that I liked as well...they just didn't quite cut my top 20. I am really looking forward to see what 2009 has in store, but it's going to take a lot to top this year! See you in '09!

Comment by Crazynights on January 3, 2009 at 8:53am: Nice list, but Heat, Journey, AC/DC, and Tesla beat the Crue's SOLA. The Crue put out a decent disc, but it seems to lack in some songs. I'd put Crue in the top ten but not #4.
