As I look around on the web, I have seen several references describing who else Charlemagne sounds like. To be honest, I have to laugh. Why? Because we don’t sound like ANYBODY ELSE! Seriously, we really don’t.

One of the reasons that we (Charlemagne) really have our own sound has everything to do with our time spent at Musicians Institute in Hollywood. Part of our curriculum was to study a lot of various styles of music. I for one studied everything including rock, blues, country, bebop,… Continue

Underrated Band: Salty Dog

I have another underrated band that i would like to turn the Spotlight on.

Salty Dog were another in and out band. their sound was a type of bluesy rock & roll, with Led Zeppelin type vocals. They only released one album in 1990 titled "Every Dog Has It's Day." they released two videos for the songs "Come Along" and "Lonesome Fool" however they only got minor airplay. The band eventually fell apart when they sacked lead… Continue
