~ HISTORY ~
Goodtime stadium metal is Slaughter's trademark. One of the busiest of the late 80s glam bands, they have never disbanded or given up the fight like many of their peers. Success has been hit and miss, but the band seems content to continue to release music and tour all over the world.
Formed by vocalist/guitarist Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum upon leaving the Vinnie Vincent Invasion, they recruited Tim Kelly (guitar) and Blas Elias (drums) and released the debut album Stick It To Ya. With constant touring behind some of metal's biggest acts, the debut album exploded (spawning three top forty singles) and made Slaughter household names. With an appearance on the soundtrack for the highly successful Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey soundtrack, Slaughter was on top of the world.

However the follow-up The Wild Life reached #8 on the Billboard charts on its way to going platinum, but it was regarded as a disappointment compared to the debut. After Mark Slaughter's recovery from vocal chord surgery in late 1992 and during the writing for Fear No Evil, Kelly was arrested on a drug charge and Strum was involved in a motorcycle accident. The future of the band was cloudy, but they soldiered on. But tragedy would strike on February 5, 1998 when Tim Kelly was involved in a fatal car accident. Eternal Live became a tribute to the fallen member, and would be Kelly's final recordings.
The remaining members recruited Jeff Blando and completed tour commitments before working on Back To Reality. Bobby Rock (another Vinnie Vincent Invasion alumni) took over on drums in 2003 when Elias' previous commitments with the Blue Man Group prevented him from touring with Slaughter. The days of platinum albums are long behind them, but they are a band that never gives up in ever changing music scene. Expect to see Slaughter take their brand of goodtime hard rock to the fans for many years to come.
