1999, Shithole, Dalarna, Sweden Two guys were listening to Shotgun Messiah and got the idea for a snotty glam/punk/sleaze-band. Tank Hooker and Pär Sundström soon started out writing songs and trying out drummers. The only drummer with the right attitude was Simon LaRue, so he was welcomed to join. At this time, the band name was "Nailed", and the songs were more "metal" than the current collection. Because Tank was not very successful at playing guitar and singing at the same time, the first demo sucked. (In fact, Tank was not a very good lead-singer even without the guitar). Pär's other band (Sabaton) was just starting to get more gigs. Simon thought he would soon get sacked anyway, and decided to leave the band. The first edition of Panzer Princess was dead. After a year or so, the band reunited, and continued for a time pretending to be a band.
2003, Shithole, Dalarna, Sweden Kelly Morgue and Tank were in school, talking about what great music they could make together. Kelly decided to join the band and shortly thereafter, they came to be known as Panzer Princess. Everyone but Pär now had time to go for it for real. Mr. Hooker came to think of an old friend he used to play black-metal(!) with in the late 90's. No one had seen Sir Alex in several years, but he turned up at rehearsal a few days after he got the word. Everything afterwards is fairly irrelevant until the "Moonshine Blues" demo. Now the boys could more and more gigs. So it was show after show while the songs for a new album were written.
2004 Shithole, Dalarna, Sweden About one year after Moonshine Blues was recorded, (lazy fuckers!!) Panzer Princess went in to studio DB for the second time with Daniel "DeBruno" Beckman and recorded" Legacy of Ignorance" Afterwards, PP made their drunken way through gig after gig, through good times and not so good times, through physical and mental injury, up and down the country, hell...up and down all of Europe.
2008 Shithole, Dalarna, Sweden Finally, Panzer Princess joined up with DeBruno again and in early 2009 they will release their first real eight song-album. It sure will be interesting to see what you retards think of it. It's absolutely the heaviest and most "in your face" record they've made this far. And If you're only gonna listen to one album this year, recorded with a broken hand drummer, listen to "Oh no.....Its Panzer Princess".
P.S. Kelly is still a pussy, Tank is still a neurotic fascist, Simon is still a clumsy bastard and Alex still gets lost on the way to the supermarket..... .

Review: All the way from Sweden (where else?) comes the latest group of heavily made-up, big haired outlaws trying to make their way to the top of the ever increasing sleaze rock pile. Panzer Princess mixes Hanoi Rocks glam with Faster Pussycat darkness and mix in Junkyard style vocals for a hell of a combination. One of the band's opening lyrical lines is "what the hell is wrong with me", and musically the answer is - nothing. Panzer Princess sings about rednecks, fags and losers with a sure-of-themselves cockiness and a fuck-you attitude. Being a four song EP, everything is coming full-blast ahead and the 15 minutes it takes to spin Legacy Of Ignorance fly by in no time. "Get Off My Back" starts the ball rolling with a cool drum beat and even the addition of a harmonica. From there it is on to "Bumville Judge" and "Rob The Bank", both of which have a chugging rhythm that compliments the retro guitar work and make for exceptional rock songs. In an effort to get their name out there, Panzer Princess have offered Legacy Of Ignorance as a free download on their website. You'd be 'ignorant' not to give these guys a try, and after listening I dare you to say that no new bands are capturing the sound of the decadent 80s - because Panzer Princess has.

I have been waiting a long time for this, a CD so full of dirty, bluesy, rock and roll, that I can almost smell the gin and cigarettes. From Sweden comes Panzer Princess, with their debut CD Oh No, It's Panzer Princess. It's obvious their native land appreciates good time rock and roll, more so than the current musical scene we are hearing in the United States. There have been quite a few bands from Sweden lately that understand image is as important as the music. This 8-track offering is full of filthy, gutter-level rock and roll, along the lines of Hanoi Rocks. The truth of the matter is, there isn't anything original about any of the tracks here, but that's fine with me. These guys know how to rock and have fun doing it, it definitely shows. "Asshole, Bastard (Son Of A Bitch)" kicks things off with a thump to the cranium and every track follows suit, such as "A Mess" that teeters oh-so dangerously into punk territory. Kelly Morgue's vocals are raspy, and that works fine for the material here. Tank Hooker plays guitar as if he is taking a swig from a Jack Daniels bottle and churning out power chords in one swift move. The rhythm section of Sir Alex on bass and Simon LaRue on drums is ferocious. "Rob The Bank" sounds so eerily close to Bon Scott-era AC/DC that you may find yourself believing this is one of their lost tracks. Forget any slow songs or power-ballads, Panzer Princess have no time for that. This is good-time rock and roll at its best. The only complaint I have is that the production is a bit weak, and I would have liked to hear the rhythm section brought up more in the mix. It is too garage-quality, however that may have been the intention. Too polished would have taken away the grit and the grime. Overall Oh No, It's Panzer Princess makes me want to down a fifth of gin and trash a motel...not advisable, but fun nonetheless. http://www.sleazeroxx.com/bands/panzerprincess/ohnoitspanzerprincess.shtml
