»Biography "The sisters Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson are the creative spark behind Heart, a hard rock band that was successful in the mid 70s, just to get even bigger success a decade later. Heart was originally formed in 1963 , by bassist Steve Fossen and brothers Roger Fisher and Mike Fisher, initially called The Army, later called White Heart before settling on simply Heart. After his arrival in the band, Ann began a relationship with guitarist Mike Fisher , which soon abandoned his instrument to become the group's sound engineer. In turn, when joined sister started dating Roger Fisher. After winning an audience in Vancouver, were signed by Mushroom Records, who brought his first album, Dreamboat Annie, in 1975.when this album was released in the U.S., quickly reached platinum thanks to singles "Crazy on You" and "Magic Man.'s next album, Little Queen, was released by the affiliate CBS Portrait, and while editing an attempt to obscure Mushroom unfinished album called Magazine, was a success and sold over a million copies then 1978 and his album Dog & Butterfly, their fortunes began to change. Most original musicians left the group and both Private Audition (1982) and Passionworks (1983) were failures.without Heart but would return in 1985 with an eponymous record that would sell five million copies and throw four hits in the Top Ten: "What About Love, "Never, number one" These Dreams and "Nothin. At All. His next albums, and Bad Animals Brigade, continued this trend. By this time were far from hard-rock roots, having become a group of pop comercial.A early 90's the Wilson sisters decided to take a vacation from Heart to form The Lovemongers, an acoustic quartet with Sue Dennis and Frank Cox. Heart returned to mid 90's with Desire Walks On and on their debut album 95 The Road Home, enlisted John Paul Jones, Led Zeppelin bassist, so that they produce an acoustic set of their old favorites. reentered Heart hiatus in the late 90s, while Wilson focused on the Lovemongers. However never went very far: his music has appeared in films (as in The Virgin Suicides), were the subject of one of the best episodes of Behind The Music and published a series of compilations. In 2004 they returned to active recording with Jupiter. s Darling. His latest project is to Dreamboat Annie Live, a recording of his hit debut album in Los Angeles and released in 2007. "
ControversyIn 1977 Heart's record label, Mushroom Records, fueled rumors that Ann and Nancy were lesbian lovers by running a full-page ad in Rolling Stone showing the sisters bare-shouldered (as appearing on the "Dreamboat Annie" album cover) and suggestively captioned "It was only our first time". When a reporter suggested, backstage after a live appearance, that the sisters were sex partners, Ann returned to her hotel room and began writing the lyrics to "Barracuda" to relieve her frustration. The song became one of Heart's biggest hits (#11, 1977).
